Ditch Witch Expands Certified Training Modules

With the introduction of four new modules, more underground construction and outdoor professionals from around the globe can take advantage of Ditch Witch Certified Training.

The new modules include training for stand-on skid steers, walk-behind trenchers, ride-on trenchers and the Roto Witch Drilling Attachment.

“As job sites get tighter and tighter, and new operators enter the workforce, it’s important that everyone has the training for safe and proper equipment operation,” said Brian Grim, Ditch Witch product training and development manager. “No matter your role – machine owner, project engineer, operator or installation crew member – understanding the equipment is very important to maintaining a safe job site.”

Ditch Witch training modules are designed to benefit operators at all levels – from novice to experienced. They run 30 minutes to several hours in length, depending on the product, and provide testing to ensure trainees retain the information.

Delivered both online and in-person, this training is also as convenient and effective as possible. Online training modules are available at no cost by visiting ditchwitch.com and registering for a free “MyDitchWitch” account. In-person training is available at any global Ditch Witch dealer.

“Keeping our customers safe and productive is job number one for us at Ditch Witch,” Grim added. “These training modules allow us to provide operator and safety training to our customers anywhere in the world, at any time of the day.”

Ditch Witch invented the underground utility construction industry, and today it designs, manufactures and markets the most complete line of directional drills, drill pipe, HDD tooling, vacuum excavators, trenchers, chain, teeth and sprockets, mini skid steers and vibratory plows. Handcrafted in the USA, products are supported by the more than 175-location Ditch Witch dealer network, worldwide.

Carylon Companies Provide Cleanup, Disinfection Services to Virus

Several Carylon Corporation companies have taken up the fight against COVID 19 by providing disease cleanup and disinfection services to ensure the health and safety of facilities, owners, employees and their families.

Carylon Corporation adheres to all OSHA regulations and strictly follows the most state-of-the-art procedures when it comes to disease cleanup and disinfection. The company continually consults with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) for up-to-date solutions.

In performing this work, Carylon companies follow CDC protocols and use CDC-approved, industrial-strength disinfectants with a broad-spectrum kill claim. Specifically, the Halo Disinfection System, from Halosil International, is EPA-registered, hospital/healthcare product/system for use on hard, porous or non-porous surfaces, which “kills” 99.9999 percent of C. difficile spores in all the nooks and crevices of complex rooms.

It is safe for office space, vehicles, industrial equipment, large auditoriums, mass transit and airplanes. And since it will not fade or discolor upholstery, disinfecting can occur in an entire area without removing furniture.

Certified technicians wear protective coveralls and masks, at all times. Product is properly disposed of as biohazard waste, and a stringent demobilization process applies to trucks, equipment and waste storage areas.

This professional hazard remediation has been performed, on an emergency and regular basis, for customers such as Menzies Aviation (O’Hare International Airport), Around the Clock Ambulance Service, Lake County Indiana Government Center, US Steel, and the Boston Transit Authority, including 900 buses and 700 trains per week.

Carylon companies involved in this work include Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc., Deep South Industrial Services, Inc., Metropolitan Environmental Services, Mobile Dredging & Video Pipe, Inc. National Industrial Maintenance-Indiana and National Water Main Cleaning, Inc.
