ProStar, Pix4D launch 3D mobile mapping tool for underground infrastructure
(UI) — ProStar Holdings Inc. has partnered with 3D mapping firm Pix4D to integrate their technologies and deliver a real-time, mobile-friendly solution for visualizing underground infrastructure.
The partnership brings together ProStar’s PointMan, a mobile and cloud-based mapping platform, with Pix4D’s photogrammetry and 3D modeling software. The goal is to help utility, construction, and engineering professionals view and manage buried assets using augmented reality—right from a smartphone.
PointMan is designed to capture and map subsurface infrastructure with high precision, while Pix4D’s tools convert that data into detailed 3D visuals. The companies say this integrated approach makes it easier to locate and manage underground assets, improving safety and operational efficiency on worksites around the world.

The combined solution targets industries including construction, utilities, and public infrastructure, where accuracy and visibility into underground systems are critical.
