Primoris welcomes two industry experts to utilities segment
(UI) – Primoris Services Corporation has welcomed two industry experts to its power delivery line of business within its Utilities segment. James Pratt will serve as President of Power Delivery, and Michael Luckey has joined as Senior Vice President of Major Projects. Both Mr. Pratt and Mr. Luckey bring decades of industry experience, skill, and best practices to the business.
“There is huge demand for this work, and with James’ and Michael’s leadership, we’re well positioned to capitalize on these prospects, capture new growth opportunities, and deliver for our clients,” said Colt Moedl, president of Primoris’ Utilities segment.
Pratt began his career in the field as an apprentice/journeyman lineman for Pacific Gas and Electric. His broad expertise spans all aspects of the electric utility, engineering consulting, business development, construction, and energy industries. Prior to joining Primoris, Pratt served as a Senior Vice President of Operations with MasTec, and he has held management and technical roles at Quanta, RES, HDR, and SMUD.
“Throughout my 25 years in the industry, I’ve developed extensive professional relationships, a comprehensive understanding of the business, and an unparalleled commitment to safety and quality,” said Pratt.
Luckey’s industry experience encompasses business development, strategic positioning, operations, and new market expansion. His results-oriented leadership and proficiency implementing budget and financial controls will drive the company’s ability to perform large-scale, multi-discipline projects. Prior to joining Primoris, Luckey served as a Vice President with Quanta, and he has held management roles at HDR, Pike Energy Solutions, and Duke Energy.

Pratt holds a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University and a Master of Business Administration from Sacramento State University. He is a certified project management professional and a licensed general contractor and master electrician. Luckey holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a registered professional engineer.
