GMP introduces Hurricane and SideWinder to its lineup
GMP introduced the Hurricane, designed to maximize protection for micro cables with a compliant double drive concept, backed by the latest technology in servo controls to provide precise control of torque and speed.
Single-person operation with safe, easy-to-operate ergonomic controls combines with low maintenance and high reliability to form the machine’s key features. Hurricane is adjustable to suit a wide range of cable diameters, 2.5 to 14 millimeters, and duct sizes from 5 to 25 millimeters.
The company also launched the SideWinder fiber optic puller. Designed to exceed the requirements of installing underground telecommunication cables high-density fiber, it employs a 42-inch-diameter single capstan to provide a controlled force to the pulling rope or tape. By allowing the winch to be placed at the midpoint of a section, the single capstan assists in the pull, thus enabling longer pulls to be achieved.
