Global Water Resources Names Lenderking Director of Water Resources

Global Water Resources, Inc. today announced it has appointed Jake Lenderking as director of Water Resources.

“Jake’s senior leadership experience on water resource management throughout Arizona makes him a great addition to Global Water,” said Global Water Resources President and CEO, Ron Fleming. “We expect his knowledge and expertise to help us remain at the forefront of the water management industry, and advance our mission of achieving efficient growth and consolidation.”

Lenderking brings to Global Water more than 10 years of leadership experience in water resource management, water policy formation, conservation program development and compliance, management of capital investment projects and other multi-state operational knowledge. He also has experience with representing water utilities before the Arizona Corporation Commission, and city and town councils on the formation of water policy, rates and regulation.

Previously, Lenderking served as chairman for West Valley Water Association (formerly WESTCAPS), a collaboration of West Valley municipal and private water providers, where he led a number of member agencies to plan and implement the use of renewable water supplies. He also served on the Arizona Department of Water Resources’ (ADWR) Modified Non-Per Capita Conservation Program Steering Committee, and ADWR’s Statewide Water Advisory Group to assist in statewide water policy formation.

Before that, Lenderking served as water resource specialist for the City of Phoenix Water Services Department, where he was responsible for water resources and water conservation, and oversaw the implementation of the city’s Residential Retrofit Program.

Lenderking began his career at the Arizona Department of Water Resources’ Phoenix Active Management Area, where he climbed the ranks to water resource specialist III and was later promoted to Water Resource Specialist IV Recharge Team Leader.

He earned a Global MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources from Arizona State University.
