American Water Charitable Foundation Provides Support to Recent Hurricane Disaster Relief Efforts

The American Water Charitable Foundation announced it is providing a grant of $70,000 to the American Red Cross to individuals and families impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria in Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Puerto Rico.

“The American Water Charitable Foundation is pleased to join the many others who have contributed their time and resources to support the millions of people impacted by these devastating storms,” said Laura Martin, president, American Water Charitable Foundation. “We understand how critical clean, potable water is in our daily lives and in times of emergencies, and we hope this contribution can provide some assistance in the communities where water or wastewater service has been disrupted.”

The funding was made possible through the American Water Charitable Foundation’s Disaster Relief Grant, Volunteer and Matching Gift Programs as well as personal donations from employees and executive leadership.
