OptiCut Digging System Optimizes Productivity Designed For Walk-Behind Trenchers

Ditch Witch announced its exclusive OptiCut digging system for use behind walk-behind trenchers, designed to enhance machine productivity in all soil conditions, tailored to complement contractor and rental company equipment with its maintenance-free teeth and 19,000-lbs. of tensile strength.

The chain features an all-in-one design concept, complete with integrated tooth technology for ease of maintenance; this design matches the chain life with the elimination of one-by-one tooth replacement, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

“We challenged our engineering teams to maintain product integrity while significantly reducing cost, and the OptiCut exceeded expectations with an innovative, productive and durable design that saves customers time and money,” said Steve Seabolt, product manager of service parts for Ditch Witch.

The OptiCut Digging System utilizes a low-profile tooth design, providing for a smooth cut and is ideal for depths up to 36 inches deep and 3.5 inches wide. The system also features an oversized roller design, built to reduce friction and boost horsepower. Tooth configuration options include a 4-pitch DuraTooth, 2-pitch Shark and 2-pitch DuraTooth/Shark combination to meet the demands of any variety of soil conditions.

The system’s chain is constructed with the highest quality alloy steel and precision tooling, providing for improved performance, strength and ductility; the chain is now equipped to handle higher loads over a wider range of temperatures.

Ditch Witch’s new OptiCut Digging System is compatible with the newest line of walk-behind trenchers including the C12, C14, C16, C16X, C24X and C30X, but can also be adapted to a variety of makes and models with a conversion sprocket. www.ditchwitch.com, (580) 572-2337.
