Sanitary sewer line replacement scheduled for Bunker Hill and Greenbay in Houston

(UI) — Starting the week of Oct. 21, the City’s contractor, Ramrod Utilities, will begin replacing sanitary sewer lines on Bunker Hill Rd (between Taylorcrest and Memorial) and the 11700 block of Greenbay Dr.

The project is expected to be completed in 75 days, weather permitting. Weekend work may be scheduled to speed up the project. The city is exempt from quiet hours during weekends. All work will occur underground or within the city’s Right of Way (ROW), with no expected need to access private property unless necessary, and residents will receive advance notice if this happens.

Daily lane closures on Bunker Hill Rd. and Greenbay Dr. are planned to ensure safety for motorists and workers. Drivers are advised to expect delays and plan alternate routes. Residents should exercise caution near the work area and follow traffic laws. Emergency services will always have a clear route during construction.

While sewer services will not be disrupted, residents in the construction area are encouraged to minimize water and sewer usage during the work. If residents experience issues with sewer services during the project, they should contact the project representatives provided. Any areas impacted by construction will be restored as needed.
