Submit abstracts for UIC's 30th anniversary education program

The Underground Infrastructure Conference (UIC) is thrilled to announce that the call for abstracts is open for its highly anticipated 2025 Education Program. The submittal deadline is July 1.

This landmark event, celebrating 30 years of unparalleled educational excellence, will take place from March 4-6, 2025, in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, where it all began.

Over the past three decades, UIC has established itself as the premier forum where industry professionals converge to share knowledge, innovative solutions, and advancements in infrastructure. Whether you are a contractor, owner (municipality, fiber, electric distribution and transmission, gas distribution, energy transmission pipelines), consulting engineer, or manufacturer/vendor, this conference is designed to provide you with practical, real-world information that is immediately applicable to your work.

Be Part of the Benchmark Education Program

The UIC Education Program is renowned for its interactive format, offering attendees a dynamic platform to exchange perspectives, present groundbreaking ideas, and explore pressing issues related to the construction, rehabilitation, and asset management of underground infrastructure. Embracing both trenchless and open-cut methods, the program is as diverse as the industry it serves.

The call for abstracts is open. This year, we are inviting submissions that cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Case Histories and Project Details: Share your experiences, lessons learned, and strategies from recent projects.
  • Innovative Uses or Enhancements of Existing Technology: Highlight how you've pushed the boundaries of current technology to achieve project success.
  • Emerging Technologies: Discuss the latest advancements poised to transform installation and rehabilitation.
  • Asset Management: Offer insights into effective management and maintenance of infrastructure assets.
  • Industry Trends, Issues, and Concerns: Provide analysis on current trends and address the challenges facing the industry today.

Submission Guidelines

To maintain the high standard of the UIC Education Program, we ask that submissions adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Unique Presentations Only: Proposals should be original and not previously presented or pending at other conferences.
  • Focus on Audience Benefits: Technology-focused presentations should emphasize practical benefits rather than serve as promotional material.
  • Collaborative Presentations Encouraged: Vendor proposals should include participation from contractors, owners, or engineers to provide a balanced perspective.
  • Session Length: Standard sessions are 20 minutes of presentation with 5 minutes for Q&A. Proposals for longer sessions (45 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A) will be considered if requested at the time of submission.

Why Participate?

Presenting at UIC offers you the chance to:

  • Share your expertise with a diverse and engaged audience.
  • Gain recognition as a thought leader in the underground infrastructure sector.
  • Contribute to the collective knowledge and advancement of the industry.

As we mark this 30-year milestone, we look forward to your participation in making the 2025 Underground Infrastructure Conference the most impactful yet. Submit your abstract today and be a part of this prestigious event where industry leaders gather to inspire, educate, and innovate.
