Nominations for Underground Infrastructure Awards are open
(UI) — Underground Infrastructure will present the second-annual Underground Infrastructure Awards (formerly Underground Construction Awards), an event celebrating innovations and individuals that have made significant impacts on the diverse underground markets.
The submission deadline is Thursday, Aug. 31. Finalists will be announced in October and the winners will be celebrated at a special dinner and ceremony. The event will take place in conjunction with the annual Underground Infrastructure Conference (UIC) in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Tuesday, March 20.
To be considered for these prestigious honors, technological advancements and projects must be completed and conducted in 2023.
“At Underground Infrastructure, we are very much looking forward to recognizing the extraordinary achievements of those in the infrastructure industry once again,” Robert Carpenter, Underground Infrastructure’s editor-in-chief, said. “The inaugural event, held in Orlando, Fla., last February was an overwhelming success. We look forward to acknowledging even more outstanding accomplishments at the 2024 event.”
To nominate an individual, organization or project for the Underground Infrastructure Awards, please visit UI-Awards and complete the submission form. Remember, the deadline is Aug. 31 and late entries cannot be considered.
The infrastructure categories to be honored are:
- Community Impact Award
- Electric Distribution and/or Transmission Project of the Year
- Asset Management Project of the Year
- Emerging Technology of the Year (General, all markets)
- Energy Pipeline Project of the Year
- Environmental Awareness Award
- Gas Distribution Project of the Year
- Emerging Rehabilitation Project of the Year
- Rising Star
- Sewer Project of the Year
- Water Project of the Year
- Fiber Project of the Year
- Underground Infrastructure’s Benefactor Award
To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, all submissions will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of industry experts and leaders.
