Company Launches New Fiber Optic Cable Technology
Pioneer Consulting, a company specializing in submarine cable consulting, has expanded its core capabilities by launching GoCable.io. This innovative cloud-based service provides a design platform for mapping, planning and analyzing new undersea cable systems.
GoCable.io is an accessible, web-based service that ensures cable design and multi-discipline collaboration remains straightforward throughout all project phases. The platform avoids unnecessary complication by delivering a simple customer-focused product, point-and-click functionality, and meaningful data-driven reports as well as analytics allowing customers to instantly generate Route Position Lists (RPLs), Straight Line Diagrams (SLDs), and other economically important details—all provided in industry-standard exportable formats.
“GoCable will transform the way telecom companies are conceptualizing their submarine cables during the early stages of new system development,” Pioneer Consulting’s Director of Networks, Ryan Wopschall, said. “We are pleased to provide our clients with a service platform that is user-friendly and accurate.”
GoCable.io is currently being used by of one Pioneer’s customers, Southern Cross Cables Limited, for cable design, marine survey, and permitting for Southern Cross NEXT, a fiber-optic cable network that will connect Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
