Primoris Services Corporation acquires PLH Group for $470 million

Primoris Services Corporation, a leading specialty contractor providing critical infrastructure services to the utility, energy/renewables and pipeline services markets throughout the United States and Canada., has closed its acquisition of PLH Group, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at $470 million.

The transaction directly aligns with Primoris’ strategic focus on higher-growth, higher-margin markets and expands its capabilities in the utility markets, including power delivery, communications, and gas utilities.

As a result of the acquisition, the majority of PLH Group operations will be incorporated into Primoris’ Utilities Segment, with the remaining going into the Energy/Renewables and Pipeline segments.

“The addition of PLH is an important step in enhancing both the size and scale of our operations in the Power Delivery and Gas Utilities markets,” said Tom McCormick, Primoris president and CEO. “This acquisition will help us capture substantial growth tailwinds as the U.S. transitions to greater dependence on both traditional and renewable energy sources.”

Based in Dallas, Primoris Services Corporation supports a diversified base of blue-chip customers with engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services. UC

Volvo CE/Beam Global Partnership Offers Off-Grid EV Charging Systems

A new partnership allows Volvo Construction Equipment’s 245 North American dealer locations to bundle Global Beam’s EV ARC off-grid charging systems with a purchase of Volvo electric equipment. Currently, this includes five models: L20 and L25 electric wheel loaders; and EC18, ECR18 and ECR25 electric excavators.

Based in San Diego and Chicago, Beam Global is a clean technology leader providing innovative, sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging, energy storage, energy security and outdoor media.

Its EV ARC solar-powered system is compact and easily transportable. It can be rapidly deployed at construction sites, generating, storing and delivering electricity – without requiring electrical work, utility grid connections or fossil-fuel generators.

Together, EV ARC and Volvo electric equipment produce zero emissions, significantly reduced noise levels and lower energy costs, making the bundling ideal for projects in remote, densely populated or strictly regulated areas that limit use of diesel generators and construction equipment.

“Beam Global shares our vision to electrify mobility worldwide, a critical step towards mitigating climate change and reducing noise and air pollution,” said Ray Gallant, vice president of product management and productivity at Volvo CE.

“The construction industry is ready for an energy transition that reduces emissions and improves machinery’s performance, longevity and usability. We’re committed to an electric future and view Beam Global as a strategic partner on this journey.”

Because the EV ARC is part of the Extended Offer Catalog, Volvo Financial Services can be utilized to lease or finance the bundle, with flexible financing options. UC
