Denso
Denso North America Inc., a subsidiary of anti-corrosion coatings manufacturer Winn & Coales International, introduced a moldable fibrous mastic to the North American market.
Densoseal 16A is based on polybutene, mineral fillers, organic fibers and water displacing materials.
Developed in the UK in 1984, it has a proven, 35-plus-year, global history for sealing cable ducts, conduits and service entry pipes or sleeves. It is particularly suitable below ground level to prevent the entry of gas or water into buildings and in applications where ducts are wet or liable to fill with water.
It may also be used for profiling mechanical joints on high-temperature pipes to allow application of tapes.
