AUCSC 2019 Offers Underground Corrosion Training

The 64rd annual Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course (AUCSC 2019) will take place May 7–9, 2019 in Morgantown, W.V. AUCSC provides both technical and  nontechnical presentation of the practical and theoretical aspects of the causes and prevention of corrosion on underground structures. Specific topics include instrumentation, corrosion surveys, cathodic protection, pipe coatings and miscellaneous methods of corrosion control.

Designed for personnel whose work requires a practical knowledge of under- ground metallic corrosion, the course covers both elementary and advanced treatment of corrosion control subjects. AUCSC, a 501C3, non-profit educational association, offers more than 100 hours of basic, intermediate, and advanced training. Licensed professional engineers (P.E.s) may earn professional development hours (PDHs) for attending AUCSC by submitting proof of their completion to the state’s engineering licensing board.
