REMU, the Finnish company that makes earthmoving products, now offers the third model in its E-Series amphibious excavators, Big Float E15, for 10-15-ton excavators.
REMU Big Float E22, mounted with CAT 324 upper carriage, makes its way deep into a Texas lake to move dirt.
The E-Series models’ reliability, quality and easy serviceability make it the equipment of choice for some of the world’s biggest wetland construction contractors. Working long hours in ultra-challenging shoreline and swamp conditions, contractors demand ultra-reliability, as well as quick, efficient transport that keeps productivity at peak by saving time, money, and manhours.
Among Big Float’s most unique and notable features, and available options are:
- A pontoon undercarriage that can be hydraulically adjusted offers optimal stability in both narrow channels and waterways, as well as deepwater; and vast savings in time, money and manhours during transport. Quickly adjusted to a width as narrow as 3.0 meters, depending on model—versus competitors’ equipment with a width almost twice that size—Big Float pontoon models can fit on a single truck for transport and don’t have to be disassembled before transport or reassembled afterward.
