RELINE UV Forms U.S. Subsidiary
The RELINE UV group, based in Rohrbach, Germany, has formed a subsidiary company in the United States to offer ultra violet (UV) cured-in-place pipe liner products, curing and support equipment in both the U.S. and Canada. RELINE UV includes the companies RELINEEUROPE, RELINECHINA and RELINEJAPAN. Additional sales activities are coordinated through RELINE Middle East, Abu Dhabi.
Jerry Botts, a 35-year industry veteran, was appointed as chief operating officer (COO) of the U.S. group that was named RELINE UV Technologies. Christian Noll is the CEO and also serves on the board of directors for RELINEEUROPE AG.
The new company is in the process of locating a production facility for UV-curing liners in the U.S. RELINE UV Technologies is contacting installation partners, and municipal and engineering contacts in North America, and has already successfully completed projects in North America.
Until completion of the production plant, North America projects are being supplied with GFRP liners from Germany.
With an annual production of more than 2.5 million feet, the RELINE UV group has developed into a leading provider of UV light-curing glass-fiber reinforced pipe (GFRP) liners. The group has lined over 12 million feet of sewers in 50 countries. In recent years, the company has also taken a leading position in developing and producing innovative UV equipment for high-speed curing.
The RELINE UV Technologies portfolio offers comprehensive service for efficient renovation with GFRP liners. Core products are the Alphaliner 300, Alphaliner 500 and Alphaliner1800, ranging in diameter from 6 to 72 inches. The Alphaliner offered in North America will be under the product names UV CIPP Alfa300, UV CIPP Alfa500 and UV CIPP Alfa1800.
The latest UV curing system developed by RELINE UV, the REE4000, is equipped with a 6- by 4,000-watt spotlight (total output of 24,000 watts) – currently the world’s most powerful UV curing system – and offers unique, innovative features for semi-automated operation. With the REE4000, RELINE UV Technologies can now cure up to 72-inch diameter GFRP liners.
