Texas Water Development Board Approves $32.1 Million in Rural Water Assistance

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has approved more than $32 million in financial assistance for rural water projects.

The projects receiving funding include:

  • $24.68 million to the city of Cameron for wastewater and water system improvements
  • $6.35 million to the Bastrop County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 for water system improvements and the purchase of a wastewater system
  • $1.12 million to the city of Wellman for water system improvements.

The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
