Quanta Services Names Two New Board Members
Quanta Services named two new members to its board of directors earlier this year. Doyle Beneby and David McClanahan join the board with C-level experience in the electric and gas utility, as well as in renewable energy industries.
McClanahan served Houston-based CenterPoint Energy as president and CEO from October 2002 to December 2013, moving on as a special adviser to his successor until June 2014. Prior to his role at CenterPoint, McClanahan served as president and COO of all regulated operations for Houston’s Reliant Energy, and he is also a former chairman of the Greater Houston Partnership.
Beneby was named CEO of Chicago-based New Generation Power International in October 2015, and he served San Antonio-based CPS Energy as president and CEO from August 2010 until September 2015. He has also held the role of president at Exelon Power, a division of Chicago’s Exelon Corp., and has held roles at several other power companies.
In addition, Quanta name a new CEO as part of the company’s ongoing succession planning. Jim O’Neil stepped down as president and CEO, and Earl “Duke” Austin, Jr. was named his successor. In addition to the president and CEO titles, Austin will retain his position as existing COO. (713) 629-7600, www.quantaservices.com.
