B&T Drainage Wins Vermeer Ultimate Crew Contest

B&T Drainage of Marshall, IL, proved themselves as the ultimate drilling crew at the 2015 International Construction and Utility and Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) in Louisville, KY, beating out three other crew competitors and winning the use of a Vermeer D24x40 S3 Navigator HDD for the span of one year.

Vermeer’s Ultimate Crew Underground Showdown drew a crowd at ICUEE, despite the rainy conditions, and B&T Drainage was cheered onto a victory, ultimately decided by the judges. Their precision topped their competitors – Martin Hildreth Company Inc., Precision Underground Inc. and Tru Tek Drilling.

Jean Kaul, marketing manager of underground at Vermeer, said the contest was a testament to the talent of individuals in the underground construction industry.

“We witnessed some of the best crews in North America compete head-to-head today,” Kaul said, “We are grateful for their hard work, competitive spirit and loyalty to our industry – and our brand.”

In addition to the use of Vermeer’s D24x40 S3 Navigator HDD, the crew will be featured in a Vermeer advertising campaign. They will also participate in a “Behind the Job” web series, in which each episode will focus on the challenges faced on HDD jobsites, how the crew works together for job completion, as well as how technology is used to succeed. The web series will be hosted on www.navigatornation.com and YouTube.
