Tulsa Rig Iron Celebrates Facility Expansion With Open House, Ribbon Cutting
In August, family-owned Tulsa Rig Iron held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of a new state-of-the-art facility sitting on 20 acres just south of Tulsa, OK.
The new manufacturing building houses a blast and paint booth, bake oven and other cutting edge technology. This facility allows Tulsa Rig Iron to manufacture multiples of its 53-foot maxi systems.
The expansion required an investment of over $4 million, but company management believed the initiative was essential to enable TRI to reach its target production increase of 25 percent. Since the expansion, TRI has increased staff by more than 25 percent and plans to increase staff by another 20 percent by the second quarter of 2015.
Tulsa Rig Iron was founded in 1987 and is led today by brothers Trevor and Troy Young. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of mud pumps and mud recycling systems for the horizontal directional drilling industry.
Several area dignitaries, including Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett, were on hand for an open house and ribbon cutting.
