Radiodetection Scores Win At International Locate Rodeo

Radiodetection was a winner again at the International Locate Rodeo in Atlanta, GA.

All utilities were represented and competitions were held for technicians in gas, power, telecom and water categories. Competitors compete in one category of their choice. Locators’ skills are put to the test at three different sites and the scores from all three event sites are used to determine the winner. Each locator is allowed 12 minutes per event site. Technicians using Radiodetection equipment swept the board in Power, took second and third in Gas and first and third in Telecom. Seventeen out of 25 top placed competitors used Radiodetection locators.

The bonus event, Locate from Hell (LFH), differs from other divisions in several ways. First, there is only one event site and the competitor has only 3 minutes to complete the locates. The division is judged on accuracy but time is of the utmost importance as it is very easy for a competitor to “time out” on the event.

Competitors are required to select from one of the participating rodeo equipment sponsors. Technicians using Radiodetection equipment took the top 12 places in the LFH event. +44 (0) 117 976 7776, radiodetection.com/precisionlocate
