Death Valley, CA, hit 130 degrees on June 30 – hot even by that location’s standards.

A few years ago, the city of Fort Collins, CO, decided to replace 4,000 feet of aging vitrified clay, sanitary sewer line that had caused many headaches for the municipality.
Methods to rehabilitate and replace old and deteriorating underground pipelines have advanced rapidly in the past decade, and today there are multiple trenchless procedures for replacing, rehabilitating and repairing buried infrastructure.
An essential element in many projects to rehabilitate buried pipe is the design and construction of a bypass system to carry flow during the period the segment being restored is out of service.
Over the past decade, new technologies have unlocked a tremendous amount of domestic oil and gas reserves and a surge in development is taking place in shale fields of the Marcellus play in the Eastern United States; Bakken in North Dakota, Montana and Southern Canada; and Eagle Ford in South Texas.
