WESTT No-Dig Says Aloha To Hawaii

The 9th Annual Western Regional No-Dig Conference & Exhibition offers that and more at this must-attend event to be held from Oct. 28-29 at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, HI.
The Western Society for Trenchless Technology (WESTT), along with media partner Underground Construction magazine, are sponsoring the regional conference, which is designed to provide all the benefits of a national conference in a smaller format.

On the second day of the conference, two 8-hour NASTT Good Practices Courses will be offered: Pipe Bursting and New Installation Methods. Attendees may participate in either or both days of the conference while earning valuable Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Home to the state capitol, Honolulu (which in the Hawaiian language means “sheltered bay” or “place of shelter”) is the vibrant epicenter of Hawaii. The majority of Oahu’s population resides in this sprawling city that spreads throughout the southeastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing the world famous Waikiki.
Honolulu is a major financial center of the islands and of the Pacific Ocean. The population of Honolulu was 390,738 at the 2010 census, while the population of the consolidated city and county was 953,207.
According to a report filed by Hawaii’s Public Utilities Commission, they are is responsible for regulating 217 utility companies or entities (four electric utilities, one gas, 174 telecommunications, and 38 private water and sewer companies), four water carriers, 73 passenger carriers and 555 property carriers in the state of Hawaii. This makes Hawaii an ideal area for conference attendees who are public officials, engineers, utility company personnel, designers and contractors alike who are involved with designing underground infrastructure.
Not only will participants be able to attend peer reviewed presentations and 20 sponsored exhibits, but they will be able to meet with industry experts in a relaxed atmosphere during several networking opportunities.
There are sponsored breakfasts each day, two scheduled session breaks and lunch in the exhibit area. In addition, there is an evening cocktail reception also planned for the first day of the conference for attendees to mingle with their peers, friends, industry professionals and exhibitors alike.
The venue at the revitalized Ala Moana Hotel is nestled in the heart of Honolulu.
