HDD Survey Winner Announced
Each year, Underground Construction randomly chooses a lucky winner to receive a cash prize of $500, just for completing its Horizontal Directional Drilling Survey.
The survey queries United States contractors and utilities that own and actively operate HDD rigs and equipment, providing valuable information about industry trends and market status.
This year’s winner, Chuck Butterfield, sent the following note:
Dear Editor,
A big “Thank You” to the folks at Underground Construction magazine for the $500 check I received for completing the [2011] HDD Survey and winning the drawing.
I enjoy this informative magazine as it relates to the underground utility work that I do. I bought my first McLaughlin Stick Boring Machine back in the 1960’s and my first Vermeer Directional Boring Machine in 1995. I have upgraded my directional machine twice since then because the bores keep getting larger and longer.
