Agile Utility Partners expands subsurface services with Ground Hawk acquisition
Agile Utility Partners, LLC has expanded its field service offerings with the acquisition of Ground Hawk, LLC, a subsurface utility engineering (SUE) company specializing in inspection, locating, and mapping. The move strengthens Agile’s ability to deliver “subterranean intelligence” for utilities, asset owners, and engineering firms, reducing risks and delays tied to underground infrastructure projects.
Ground Hawk’s SUE Lite model is designed to help utilities and contractors identify and protect buried assets before construction begins. By improving accuracy in subsurface mapping, the technology reduces costly damages, improves project efficiency, and safeguards service reliability.

Founded in 2006, Agile Utility Partners has grown to provide supply chain, material management, and field services to gas and electric utilities nationwide. Backed by Post Capital Partners, Agile is now broadening its field services platform to include subsurface damage prevention through Ground Hawk’s capabilities.
Ground Hawk leadership, including Co-Directors Ryan McCranie and Alex Whitten, will remain with the company and continue serving customers across the Southeast.
