W. Va. American Water invests $500,000 to advance Fayetteville infrastructure upgrades
According to WV News, West Virginia American Water has launched a significant project to enhance water infrastructure in Fayetteville, with work already underway as of late December 2024. This initiative focuses on replacing outdated water mains to boost service reliability and minimize disruptions for local residents.
The project involves installing approximately 1,920 feet of new, durable 8-inch PVC water mains along Grace Street, stretching from Maple Avenue to Frank Street. The replacement work is expected to be completed by the end of March 2025, with final street restoration anticipated later in the spring, WV News reported.
These upgrades are part of a broader statewide investment by West Virginia American Water, which plans to allocate over $97 million toward infrastructure improvements across the Mountain State in 2024. These investments aim to strengthen the water supply network, improve service dependability, and support economic growth in the areas served.
