Columbia Gas to replace high-pressure lines, add utility stations in Upper Arlington, Ohio

(UI) — Columbia Gas is set to begin a major infrastructure overhaul across Upper Arlington in 2025, with projects aimed at replacing aging high-pressure gas lines and adding two above-ground utility stations.

The new 20-inch diameter steel pipelines, which meet federal safety standards, will serve a wide region extending beyond Upper Arlington.

The first phase of construction is scheduled to start in spring or summer near Upper Arlington High School, with plans to minimize traffic and parking disruptions.

The upgrades will include:

  • Replacement of old gas lines with new 20-inch steel pipelines featuring enhanced safety measures.
  • Construction of two utility stations: one on Ridgeview Road and the replacement of an existing station on Brandon Road.

Columbia Gas has committed to keeping residents informed with mailed updates, public meetings, and ongoing project notifications.
