(UI) — The city of Jasper, Indiana, is set to begin Phase II of its Downtown Revitalization Project, focusing on upgrading underground infrastructure, installing new sidewalks, and adding curb ramps to enhance accessibility.
Construction signs have been placed this week, with demolition and construction set to begin the week of Sept. 3. During the project, Main Street from Third Street to Fifth Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for about 12 weeks.
The upgrades aim to improve pedestrian safety and walkability in Jasper’s downtown area.
