Tachus to invest $100 million in Texas fiber optic network expansion
(UI) — Tachus Fiber Internet, a Texas-based provider, has unveiled plans to inject $100 million into expanding its state-of-the-art XGS Fiber Network. The network is set to revolutionize internet connectivity, offering ultra-fast multi-gig speeds to both homes and businesses in the Southwest Houston region.

This major investment marks a significant milestone for Tachus, positioning them to extend their advanced fiber-optic network to over 100,000 homes and businesses across Southwest Houston. The Tachus Advanced XGS Network guarantees symmetrical multi-gigabit internet speeds, providing residential users with speeds of up to 8.0 Gbps and commercial clients up to 10.0 Gbps.
Tachus, headquartered in The Woodlands, will deploy a 100% fiber-optic, advanced XGS network, benefitting communities in Fort Bend and Harris County markets, including Sugar Land, Stafford, and Mission Bend.
"The project has received full approval from the Company's board of directors and equity partner, Crosstimbers Capital Group," Matt Ockwood, president of Tachus, said.
He added that construction is set to commence in the fourth quarter, with the first customers set to enjoy synchronous multi-gig service before the close of 2023.
