Tachus to invest $100 million in Texas fiber optic network expansion

(UI) — Tachus Fiber Internet, a Texas-based provider, has unveiled plans to inject $100 million into expanding its state-of-the-art XGS Fiber Network. The network is set to revolutionize internet connectivity, offering ultra-fast multi-gig speeds to both homes and businesses in the Southwest Houston region.

"With the ability to offer multi-gig speeds for both downloads and uploads, we're providing the critical bandwidth, technology, and infrastructure that Houstonians need now and into the future," Hal Brumfield, CEO of Tachus Fiber Internet, said.

This major investment marks a significant milestone for Tachus, positioning them to extend their advanced fiber-optic network to over 100,000 homes and businesses across Southwest Houston. The Tachus Advanced XGS Network guarantees symmetrical multi-gigabit internet speeds, providing residential users with speeds of up to 8.0 Gbps and commercial clients up to 10.0 Gbps.

Tachus, headquartered in The Woodlands, will deploy a 100% fiber-optic, advanced XGS network, benefitting communities in Fort Bend and Harris County markets, including Sugar Land, Stafford, and Mission Bend.

"The project has received full approval from the Company's board of directors and equity partner, Crosstimbers Capital Group," Matt Ockwood, president of Tachus, said.

He added that construction is set to commence in the fourth quarter, with the first customers set to enjoy synchronous multi-gig service before the close of 2023.

As a locally-based business, Tachus is proud to serve the Houston metro area and partner with community organizations such as the Houston Astros and their Triple-A affiliate, the Space Cowboys. Tachus aims to invest in long-lasting infrastructure that offers local businesses and residents 100% frustration-free, fast, and reliable internet access.

Tachus customers will have access to high bandwidth with fiber-fast speeds, round-the-clock Texas-based support, and a hassle-free experience. Residential customers can choose from a range of symmetrical speeds, starting at 300 Mbps download/300 Mbps upload and reaching up to 8.0 Gbps download/8.0 Gbps upload. Commercial clients will benefit from various service offerings, along with premium hardware configurations tailored to meet their specific business requirements.

Cole Pate, Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that Tachus is deploying the most advanced fiber-optic network and technology to meet the evolving demand for bandwidth due to rapidly changing devices. The fiber-dense, congestion-free, and future-proof network will support these and new devices for decades, enhancing the lives and economic prospects of residents and businesses.

Tachus' commitment to customer value ensures consistently high speeds, transparent pricing, and a straightforward approach without hidden fees, contracts, or gimmicks.

"The residents of Southwest Houston have been let down by their primary cable company and other would-be ISPs for years, and Tachus Fiber Internet is excited to continue our role in bringing a revolutionary Internet experience to those underserved homes and businesses," Brumfield stated.
