UCT 2022 gathers in Fort Worth, TX

The 2022 Underground Technology conference and exhibition, the most important underground construction event in the industry, took place in Fort Worth, TX this week.

Each day, UCT began with multiple educational tracks covering a wide range of industry topics.

Each track includes important information for the underground construction and utility industry including damage prevention, emerging technologies, asset management and more.

On Tuesday, a crowd of over 200 people gathered at the MVP Luncheon to honor Gary Oradat, this year’s MVP Award recipient.

Throughout his career, Oradat has demonstrated leadership and expertise that significantly contributed to the improvement of the agencies he was in, and to the underground sewer and water infrastructure industry. 

Oradat’s career has also positively impacted the underground marketplace by assisting with the improvement of concrete additives and pipeline coatings/liners for use in manhole and/or sanitary sewer rehabilitation. 

On Wednesday, over one hundred people attended the HDD Reunion and celebrated the induction of two HDD legends, Frank Canon and John Hair into the HDD Hall of Fame.

Each day, the exhibit hall was open to attendees to meet with top industry partners to who showcased their products and services. The UCT exhibit hall was filled with hundreds of people with opportunities to network with fellow industry members and gain access to additional educational experiences in the Rehab Zone.

Today is the final day of UCT 2022 and it's still not too late to attend!

Registration reopens at 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 27 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

More sessions will take place beginning at 8:30 a.m., along with the exhibit hall that will be open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 27.
