Black Construction Awarded $122 Million for Guam Wastewater Project

(UC) – Black Construction has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $122 million by the Guam Waterworks Authority to upgrade the Northern Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Village of Dededo.

The project scope of work includes the complete construction of new secondary wastewater treatment facilities at the Northern District Wastewater Treatment Plant, as well as upgrades and repurposing of certain existing infrastructure and facilities at the plant.

Work is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2019 with substantial completion anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Black Construction's Los Angeles-based parent company, Tutor Perini Corporation.

Black Construction is based in Guam and includes affiliates E.E. Black Ltd. in the Philippines and Black Micronesia in Guam.
