Body Found in Water Treatment Plant

(UC) - It was a grisly start to the week for workers at a water treatment plant in Muncie, Indiana as a body was found inside the facility on Monday.

Although the victim has not yet been identified, several details have been released. He is described as white male in his 40s or 50s with dark hair, a moustache and goatee, with several tattoos on his arms.

Authorities have assured the local residents that the body could not have entered the plant from the local river but did state that there are three local storm drains large enough to carry a body into the plant.

Police are still investigating the death and at this time are unsure how the body made it into the facility. The investigation is still ongoing but there were no immediate indicators of foul play.

Officials have assured the community that there is no danger of the water being contaminated as is still must be treated before leaving the plant.
