The Texas Water Development Board today approved more than $16 million in financial assistance from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund for the following construction projects:
- $3.56 million to the city of Lawn. The city will use the assistance to construct 39 miles of pipeline serving the cities of Lawn, Buffalo Gap, and Tuscola-Taylor County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 from the Abilene Hargesheimer Water Treatment Plant. In addition, new pipelines will be installed to address water loss within the service area.
- $3.26 million to the city of Euless. The city will use the assistance to finance the construction and continued expansion of the Village Creek Reclaimed Water System. The project includes extending a reclaimed waterline along the Bear Creek Parkway and providing reclaimed irrigation services to approximately 16 commercial and multi-family residential customers. Approximately 27,000 linear feet of reclaimed water pipe in the distribution system will also be installed.
- $9.9 million to the city of Devine. The city will use the assistance to replace water lines and make other system improvements.
The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
