Boil Water Advisory Lifted for North Carolina Town

EDENTON, N.C. (AP) — A boil water advisory has been lifted for a North Carolina town.

WITN-TV reports the advisory, which was lifted on Wednesday, had been in place since Monday after a water pipe broke, lowering water pressure.

The town said state tests for bacteria show the water is safe to use. Low water pressure increased the risk of bacteria getting into the system.

Edenton says because of the drop in pressure, some customers may see discolored water.
