Texas Town Receives $5.5 Million for Water, Wastewater Projects

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has approved financial assistance in the amount of $5.5 million, consisting of a $1.6 million loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and a $3.9 million loan from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund, to the city of Gladewater.

The assistance provided by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund will allow the city to finance the replacement of existing water lines and the assistance provided by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund will allow the city to finance improvements to its wastewater lines.

The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
