American Water Resources Launches Service Line Protection Programs
American Water today announced that American Water Resources has launched a partnership with the city of Yonkers, NY to provide optional water and sewer line protection services for homeowners.
American Water Resources will provide educational information on residents’ responsibilities for the water and sewer lines on their property. Under the partnership, homeowners now have the option to enroll into these affordable protection programs that help provide a way to pay for repairs to water and sewer service lines that may not be covered under homeowners’ insurance or standard home warranties.
The Service Line Protection Programs offered include:
- Water Line Protection Program
- Sewer Line Protection Program
American Water Resources will establish a local contractor network and manage all claims. Program enrollees will receive 24-hour support via a toll-free hotline and a one-year warranty on all covered repairs with no forms to submit and no deductibles.
“Oftentimes, the costs and responsibilities of repairing water and sewer lines come as a shock to homeowners, who may struggle with unexpected expenses,” said American Water Resources President Eric Palm. “American Water Resources has offered our programs to residents in New York City since 2013, saving homeowners there nearly $84 million in repair costs. We are proud to offer our water and sewer line protection programs for Yonkers and look forward to serving our new customers.”
Details about these programs and how to enroll will be arriving in the mail for eligible homeowners beginning the week of June 12, 2017. Information is also available by calling 866-315-4476.
“We are excited to partner with American Water Resources to provide our customers an affordable and easy way to protect themselves from unexpected service line repairs,” said Mayor Mike Spano, Mayor of the City of Yonkers. “Through this program, eligible Yonkers homeowners will now have access to American Water Resources’ protection programs, which can help provide peace of mind if a service line problem occurs.”
