Public Hearing Set on W.Va. Draft Source Water Protection Plan

CHARLESTON (AP) — A public hearing is being held this month on a draft source water protection plan for the West Virginia American Water Kanawha Valley System.
The plan is intended to identify ways to minimize potential threats to source water and prepare for spills or other emergencies that could affect water service.
The public hearing will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the West Virginia Regional Technology Park, Building 2000, Room 1220 in South Charleston.
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources will consider public comments as it reviews the draft plan. Comments may be submitted during the hearing or in writing by Dec. 5 by mail, fax or email.
