In Memoriam
Timothy Donald Killoren, former Power and Communication Contractors Association (PCCA) chairman and president and long-time board member, died on June 6, in Pickerel, Wisc. He was 69.
After graduating from high school, he went to work for the family business, Killoren Company, with his father and brothers. In 1986, he began his own utility construction company, K&S Construction Inc., with partner Roger Stevens.
Later in life, he became a consultant in the utility construction industry, sharing his knowledge with his many colleagues and friends in the association and industry. UC
STV
Sherif Hanna, P.E., joined STV, as vice president and engineering director. In this role, he supports the Tunneling and Geotechnical Engineering practice’s growth, manages projects, provides leadership for pursuits, and manages collaborations between various business units. Previously, he served in various executive roles at a multinational engineering and design firm.
Jim Morrison, P.E., P.Eng., joined the same practice as vice president and engineering chief, serving as a project lead and senior advisor. He has more than 39 years of geotechnical and civil engineering experience, with expertise in the design-build project delivery method. He has led teams performing expert and quality reviews, and design and forensic evaluations.
Barrie Roberts is the new vice president and engineering chief for the practice, with an emphasis on developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for the design and construction of tunnels and other underground structures. He brings extensive experience in domestic and international projects, and diverse delivery methods, including tunneling programs in both soft ground and hard rock.
Founded more than 100 years ago, STV is a leader in engineering, architectural, environmental, planning and program, and construction management services for transportation systems, infrastructure, buildings, energy, and other facilities.
Kleinfelder Group
Ann Massey was appointed to the Board of Directors at Kleinfelder Group, Inc., a leading engineering, design, construction management, construction materials inspection and testing, and environmental professional services firm.
She has held several senior executive positions throughout 30-plus years of industry experience and has been recognized as a most “Influential Women in Energy” and “Top 100 Influential Women in Georgia.”
Olea Edge Analytics
Quinn Jackson-Elliott was named vice president of Government Relations at Olea Edge Analytics, an Austin, Texas-based intelligent edge computing platform for the water utility industry.
She is responsible for building the government relations function, with a focus on revenue recovery, asset management and operational efficiency to achieve results, including helping water utilities integrate technology as a key component of utility management.
Jackson-Elliott’s career spans over 20 years and includes 14 years with the City of Atlanta, advancing to deputy commissioner of the Department of Watershed Management.
Bowman
Jeffrey Blair, P.E., was named vice president of acquisitions integration at Bowman, the Reston, Va., engineering services firm that delivers innovative infrastructure solutions to customers who own, develop, and maintain the built environment.
He has more than 30 years of consulting experience – 18 years at Bowman – with site and infrastructure development projects, in the mid-Atlantic and southeastern United States, for both public and private sector clients.
Liebherr
Tim Gerhardt, Ph.D., is a new managing director for Liebherr USA, which provides integrated sales and services operations for nine Liebherr Group product segments.
In this role, he is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic development, communication, and implementation of growth strategies for all Liebherr USA corporate, finance and administrative functions.
With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, most recently he was managing director at Liebherr-Ettlingen GmbH remanufacturing center.
The Korte Company
Derek Brauer was promoted to executive vice president of procurement, responsible for managing new business development, as well as directing pre-construction activities. With the company since 2000, he has experience as a project engineer, project executive and integral member of the Preconstruction and Project Management teams.
Jason Weiss was named executive vice president of operations, overseeing the Design, Project Management, Recruiting, Quality Control and Field pillars of the company. Since joining the company in 2004, his project experience spans key sectors, including Department of Defense, distribution centers, offices and retail.
Tyler Unterbrink was promoted to vice president of field operations, supporting the Operations Team and directing the company’s Field and Safety Teams.
He has experience in numerous project manager roles and as project executive since joining The Korte Company in 2006.
The Korte Company, founded in 1958 and headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, manages an average of more than $400 million in annual construction volume. UC
