Rehab Technology Spotlight: Lining Systems

Applied Felts

Using only the highest quality raw materials available, Applied Felts’ flame- or stitch-bonded, highly durable PU- and PP-coated liners allow for more extreme environmental and installation requirements, while providing greater flexibility in the field. Our extra-durable, sewn-seamed, PP-coated AquaCure PP liners can withstand tougher on-site conditions and most extreme steam cure processing.

These liners are quality manufactured to conform to ASTM-1216, accommodating pipe diameters 6 to120 inches, wall thicknesses 3 to 42 millimeters, 45-degree bends and in accordance with ISO 9001:2020.

CIPP Corp.

CIPP Corp. has developed a Fiberglass reinforced felt liner for the potable water industry. The specially designed resin system used has been developed to prevent premature hardening and works extremely well in the presence of water. Water mains are difficult at best to completely de-water prior to liner installation. CIPP Corporation’s specialty resin development overcomes this obstacle. Contact us for your potable water lining projects.

Danby

Danby PVC liner is used in rehab of pipes 36 inches and larger, and any shape/size structures. This grout-in place structural solution is designed for 50+ years of life, provides H2S corrosion protection and its smooth surface improves hydraulic performance with minimum loss of diameter.

The PVC lining process is 100-percent trenchless using existing access/manholes, without the use of proprietary machinery, to install and no weld strips. The rigid PVC liner can navigate through curves and changes in shape or size. It continues to be a proven rehab method, installed globally for more than 30 years.

FerraTex Solutions

Ferratex Solutions’ pre-impregnated liners, including the glass-reinforced AquaCure RP and pressure applications, from our regional wet-out facilities, make your job easier. Our newest wet-out plant, adjacent to Applied Felts’ plant in Martinsville, Va., is one of six locations across the country. We offer logistical advantages and unmatched customer service throughout the U.S., Canada and parts of Mexico.

Once resin impregnation is completed, our resin-saturated liners are loaded into one of our climate-controlled, refrigerated trailers for delivery and tracked through GPS. Benefit from fully integrated QA/QC throughout the entire process from polymer pellets and various fibers, to the refrigeration truck.

Flow-Liner

Flow-Liner’s Neofit+ is an environmentally friendly, expandable pressure tubing that seals leaks in existing service pipes and acts as a protective barrier for lead pipes. Designed for ½- to 2-inch diameter and up to 300-foot sections, Neofit is made from a strong and durable virgin PET. The NSF (National Science Foundation) 61 approved liner keeps drinking water pure and out of contact with the host pipe and rehabilitates pipes by sealing leaks.

This trenchless technology avoids risk of damage to other services during the installation process. It also preserves the property owner’s above-ground structures and can be installed in just a couple of hours.

Granite Inliner Technologies

Granite Inliner teams have successfully installed more than 35 million feet of CIPP throughout the United States and Canada. We have rehabilitated both circular and non-circular piping structures, 4- to 120-inch diameter, in various geographic and climatic conditions. From our flagship Inliner brand Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP), to our glass-reinforced STX UV-cured liners, we can address a broad range of both gravity and pressure pipeline applications, selecting the right solution for your wastewater and stormwater infrastructure problems.

HammerHead Trenchless

The HammerHead Trenchless WT212-3D wet-out table features a unique, three-drive roller system and no-shim gap control that deliver highly accurate and uniform resin saturation for quality CIPP installations. The latest curing methods require extreme consistency in resin depth and saturation. WT212-3D’s design powers rollers to reduce liner wrinkling common in hand-cranked models. The smooth, automated operation delivers uniform wet-outs time after time and a quick-locking gap mechanism allows users to calibrate gap height down to a quarter of a millimeter.

Inland Pipe Rehabilitation

IPR’s proprietary process combines the most-advanced application equipment with a high-strength, low-porosity geopolymer. EcoCast is a completely trenchless lining system for large-diameter applications.

The process recovers and protects the pipe surface by filling in voids, cracks, and other defects with geopolymer material at structural thicknesses. EcoCast is a more cost-effective rehabilitation solution that extends the design life of your deteriorated piping infrastructure.

LightRay

LightRay3 is both a pull-in-place and spot repair system provides the flexibility to perform both operations by only changing the proprietary double-strand cold LED repair packer. The LightRay non-VOC resin is pre-impregnated into the high-performance fiberglass liner and shipped ready to install for no-dig, small-diameter pipe infrastructure repairs.

Once the install site is prepped, casting times in under 10 minutes can be achieved, eliminating the risk of premature or prolonged curing times due to temperature variations.

LMK Technologies

LMK Technologies is the only provider of the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) F2561-20 compliant T-Liner. This one-piece, homogenous, main-to-lateral CIPP connection liner renews 18 inches and 360 degrees of the mainline, extending up the lateral pipe as one continuous lining.

The T-Liner is offered with ASTM F3240-19 compliant Insignia compression gasket-sealing technology, which provides a verifiable non-leaking system.

MaxLiner

The new Max VertiPox, CIPP resin – 100-percent solids, styrene-free, two-part epoxy – system is uniquely formulated for vertical pipes and other in-building applications. The thicker viscosity prevents the epoxy from gravity-related resin run during installation and curing. It is chemical resistant, odor-free and adheres to existing pipe materials – even under very humid and wet conditions.

MaxLiner’s LED-based UV curing system, MaxLight, optimizes CIPP operations by dramatically increasing work efficiency. Curing does not begin until resin is exposed to our finely calibrated UV light, so pre-impregnated liner assembly can happen at the shop or on-site, eliminating pot life concerns and enabling several installations in a single day.
