ISCO Industries Acquires HDPE Plant in Montana
ISCO Industries Inc., a Louisville, Ky.-based, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe supplier and fabricator, purchased Plasson USA’s HDPE fabrication plant in Missoula, Mont. The strategic acquisition allows ISCO to further expand in a previously difficult-to-reach area of North America.
“Our excellent customer service is the backbone of our company. It’s predicated on our ability to serve the needs of our customers on a local basis,” explained Lee Mizell, ISCO chief operating officer. “We pursued this purchase in Montana to improve our ability to respond to our customers’ needs in the northwestern United States and western Canada.”
The Missoula plant will be the ninth HDPE fabrication plant in ISCO’s network, which includes Kingman, Ariz.;
Salt Lake City, Utah; Louisville, Ky.; Houston; Martinsburg, W.V.; Baton Rouge, La.; Wellford, S.C.; and Mulberry, Fla.
“Plasson has been a valuable supplier of ours for many years,” said Jimmy Kirchdorfer, CEO and chairman of ISCO. The acquisition also brings employees with decades of experience in the HDPE industry.
Since 1962, ISCO Industries has stocked and sold a wide variety of HDPE pipe and piping materials. Its customized piping fabrication provides solutions globally for multiple applications such as industrial, municipal, power, oil and gas, mining, environmental, geothermal, golf, culvert-lining and landfill. The company also rents, services and sells McElroy fusion equipment. •
