John Deere
Enabled through the JDLink telematics connection, John Deere’s new Connected Support leverages a suite of dealer and factory tools to deliver increased productivity, uptime and lower daily operating costs.
A key tool of the system is Service ADVISOR Remote, which allows the dealer to analyze machine conditions in real time, or set a trigger point to record intermittent conditions, providing a deep look into the machine’s health. Additionally, the remote diagnostic capabilities can reduce troubleshooting time and eliminate a trip to the machine.
Another feature is Expert Alerts, created by John Deere machine health analysts monitoring fleetwide machine data to identify emerging trends. Working directly with the factory product teams, solutions used by John Deere dealers and technicians to repair machines onsite are developed. Expert Alerts also equip technicians with information needed to bring the right part the first time, so machines are back on the job as quickly as possible.
New backhoe attachments. John Deere also unveiled three new backhoe attachments. The BH9B, BH10B and BH11B were designed for operators handling light construction or utility work. Similar to other John Deere attachments, they are ideal for use on John Deere G-Series skid steers and compact track loaders.
The new backhoe attachments’ swing speed control and 180-degree capabilities help maximize efficiency and improve machine stability. Workspace visibility is optimized with the attachments’ sleek, low-profile design. Cushioned cylinders allow for smooth operations and limit shock loads during use.
A two-lever control of boom or swing (left lever) and dipperstick or bucket (right lever) allow for precise control and movement. Each new model includes a 9–12-gallons-per-minute hydraulic flow range for smooth operation.
The BH model bucket widths range from 18 to 36 inches, and new and improved heavy-duty buckets feature an easy-cleanout design for the toughest jobs. •
