NASSCO Partners with SkillsUSA
The National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) has become an official sponsor of SkillsUSA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding solutions to the nation’s workforce challenges.
“The underground infrastructure industry offers extremely viable and robust career opportunities in the water and wastewater sectors,” said Sheila Joy, NASSCO’s executive director. “Using impressive trenchless technologies that minimize the need to dig up pipes literally has changed the landscape for hiring young workers.
“Our partnership with SkillsUSA allows us to build awareness of the need to repair our failing underground infrastructure, support the construction segment and present career opportunities to young people who are seeking long-term, meaningful employment in an industry that keeps our communities healthy.”
