Volvo Construction Equipment opened its second and third Certified Used Centers in North America, since introducing the program last year. Centers in New Hudson, Mich. (Alta Equipment Company) and Deptford, N.J. (Hoffman Equipment) offer a range of equipment that includes Volvo articulated haulers, excavators and wheel loaders.
At these centers, off-lease Volvo equipment undergoes a rigorous, 140-plus-point inspection from certified dealer technicians and is refurbished to OEM standards using genuine parts. All factory updates are completed, and the machines are packaged with a 6-month/1,200-hour powertrain warranty to become Volvo Certified Used.
“Our Certified Used program is the best way to ensure you know exactly what you’re purchasing when investing in a used machine,” said Ryan Sherwood, vice president, retail development at Volvo CE. “This gives the customer a machine with lower total cost of ownership over its lifecycle and confidence that it can withstand the most demanding jobs.”
Strengthening Volvo CE’s presence in the Southern region, Scott Equipment Company has taken over all Volvo CE business from Hugg & Hall Equipment Company – in Fort Smith, Springdale, Texarkana and Little Rock, Ark. – adding it to its Scott Equipment locations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Scott Equipment has 80 years of experience with heavy-duty construction equipment and has represented Volvo CE since 2000.
