Aquam Pipe Diagnostics
The Investigator Mini is an asset management and leak detection tool for insertion into pressurized pipelines up to 150psi, and for 2- to 6-inch- diameter pipework. Access is through 2-plus-inch pressure fittings, air valves, gate valves and Quadrina’s at full mains pressure.
The system is mounted onto pipework through a selection of fittings and/or “hot tappings.” This process makes access into the pipework simple and cost effective. Monitoring the real-time data captured by the HD camera and hydrophone sensor head allows the operator to understand internal pipework conditions and identify leaks.
A 100-foot cable is supplied with the system which potentially offers a maximum inspection distance of 200 feet upstream and downstream off
the insertion point.
The software is specific for the Investigator Mini technology and is used to view both HD video and acoustic results from live surveys. Video is displayed in a resizable window and acoustic data in order of amplitude and frequency. The surveyed pipe can then be located above ground via the integral Flex Rod system. •
