Sunstate Rentals
Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC, entered the trench safety equipment rental arena with the opening of its Trench Safety Division in Houston.
“At Sunstate, our goal is to provide best-in-class service to all of our loyal customers,” said Jeff Vance, senior vice president of Operations. “Our new Sunstate Trench Safety Division allows us to broaden our product offering to our existing customer base while also introducing our top-quality service to a new segment of customers with specialized shoring needs.”
The new trench division is being overseen by long-time trench industry expert, Gene Nowlan, manager. He brings 16 years of trench safety experience and leads a hand-selected team of qualified underground safety professionals.
Industrywide, trench safety has become a paramount priority. With over 5,000 serious injuries and 100 deaths related to excavation and trenching cave-ins each year in the United States, having access to a knowledgeable team and high-quality shoring equipment is a life-saving necessity for these job sites.
In addition to renting trench and confined space safety equipment and accessories, Sunstate also
offers OSHA-compliant Competent Person and Confined Space Awareness training to help educate users on proper installation, daily inspection steps, and ongoing safety protocols to work safely in a variety of conditions.
