New Leadership, Website at Subsite, HammerHead
Kevin Smith was named president of two of The Charles Machine Works companies, Subsite Electronics, provider of electronic technology, and HammerHead Trenchless, which offers rehabilitation and replacement solutions for underground construction and service. CMW is now owned by The Toro Company.
“Combining the leadership of Subsite and HammerHead will streamline our synergistic approach and deliver future innovations for the installation, maintenance, rehabilitation and replacement of underground pipe,” said CMW CEO Rick Johnson.
With more than 25 years at CMW companies, Smith most recently was president of HammerHead and has 20 years of experience serving in various positions at Ditch Witch. His new team includes Randy Rupp, general manager of Subsite; Brian Kenkel, general manager of HammerHead; and Christi Woods, controller of Subsite and HammerHead
“The Charles Machine Works approach is unique in the industry,” said Smith. “Our family of Companies brings greater value to customers by working together. We share assets, expertise and insights that ultimately lead to customer-driven solutions across the full life cycle of the pipe. This offers our customers additional capabilities, letting them tap new avenues of revenue to continually grow their business.”
In other news, Subsite launched its new website, www.subsite.com.
Redesigned from the ground up, it provides comprehensive, useful product and industry information for users of HDD guidance systems, utility locators and utility inspection systems. It also offers tutorial videos, literature downloads, safety information, industry links and more.
In addition, Subsite’s inspection technologies (previously sold as another brand) are re-branded on the new website. Ideal for pipelines too small to allow man entry, including water and wastewater collection and conveyance systems, these solutions include CCTV, sonar profiling, 3-D, and point cloud data capture. •
