Aclara and SUEZ North America Enter Partnership

Aclara and SUEZ North America have entered an exclusive strategic partnership to deliver advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and smart infrastructure solutions (SIS). Exclusive to the U.S. marketplace, the agreement allows both companies to leverage their strengths to benefit utilities.

St. Louis, Mo.-based Aclara will broaden its reach and offer leading-edge technology to utilities facing resource constraints. Its AMI and SIS technologies will enable Suez customers to more effectively manage their distribution systems and reach their sustainability goals.

The Advanced Solutions division of SUEZ North America currently offers a wide variety of solutions in water resource and asset management, water quality of distribution systems, and water and energy conservation. Aclara’s AMI and SIS portfolio includes its RF network, pressure monitoring and sanitary sewer overflow solutions.
In addition to providing Aclara water solutions, SUEZ will deliver Aclara’s electric and gas SIS products to municipal utilities responsible for a combination of water and energy resources. Aclara will support SUEZ in sales, implementation and management of Aclara installations.

SUEZ provides drinking water, wastewater and waste collection service to 7.3 million people across North America. Its Advanced Solutions division, headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., is a fully integrated professional service and contracting firm .
