Ring-O-Matic Introduces America’s Fastest Vac-Ex System
Ring-O-Matic’s 350 VX HiCFM gives municipal crews and small horizontal-directional-drilling (HDD) contractors the quickest way to safely and neatly expose water and sewer services.
The truck-mounted unit can be easily mounted on a medium-duty carrier, guaranteeing always-legal road weights and easy, curbside water fill-ups. A trailer-mounted version is built on a single-axle trailer that tows behind a standard half-ton pickup without special permitting or CDL requirement.
Along with its ease of setup and operation, the vacuum excavator can be custom-built to meet unique, on-the-job requirements. For example, a truck-mounted, air-equipped package was mounted on a Freightliner chassis and powered by an 81-horsepower CAT engine. Features include a Sullair 150-psi, 185-cfm compressor; 350-gallon spoils tank; 100-gallon water tank; cyclonic separator; strong arm boom; 1,000-cfm blower and 50-foot-long by 1-inch air hose on a spring-retractable reel.
Demonstrating the unit’s application versatility, it was also equipped with Ring-O-Matic’s patented VIPER pothole tool and a Super Sonic air knife. “The VIPER digging tool makes day-lighting utilities a one-man job, and fast and easy,” said Tony Bokhoven, sales and marketing manager.
