New President at LAN
Wayne Swafford, P.E., S.E., was named as the president of Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN). Dennis Petersen, who served as the firm’s president for the last 20 years, will continue as the president of LAN parent company, LEO A DALY.
In his new role, Swafford is responsible for the firm’s direction and operation. Since joining LAN as executive vice president in April 2017, “He has earned the confidence of the firm, and his leadership will push us all to greater achievements,” said Petersen.
A structural engineer with more than 30 years of experience, Swafford has managed the operations and finances of several organizations. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
