Pipe Liners Club Of Tulsa Celebrates 70th Anniversary
The Pipe Liners Club of Tulsa is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2017. To mark the event, Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum proclaimed Jan. 22-28 “The Pipe Liners Club of Tulsa Week.”
Pipe Liners Club spokesman Terry Flynn, vice president of sales and marketing for Tulsa Rig Iron, said that “it just speaks to the longevity and the commitment of all the members. A lot of the members come in and they stay until they retire and beyond. Everybody that comes in has a strong passion.”
With roughly 650 members, the Pipe Liners Club of Tulsa is dedicated to the advancement of pipeline engineering, maintenance and operating practices for the benefit of members and the industry.
Among the many benefits offered by the organization, the monthly dinner meetings serve to present relevant news, research and practices that engage and educate members. These events also function as a means of meeting continuing education requirements to maintain professional registries.
